The Force was strong with fans in cosplay at Comic-Con this year. We saw a near screen-accurate Kylo Ren, Leia (both young and mature), and some incredible Boba Fett mash-ups.

There has been an awakening in the Force.
A throwback Leia and Luke Skywalker rocked outfits from the original movie.
While this pair of lovebirds looked all grown up in their costumes from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
Their son, a Kylo Ren cosplayer, made a crossguard lightsaber out of hot glue spray-painted red.

Temptation to join the Dark Side was everywhere.
Steampunk Darth Vader looked particularly grumpy sitting under the hot San Diego sun.
Clearly, he needed a TIE-Fighter to whisk him away.
The weather didn't bother these Tusken Raiders, more commonly known as sand people.
But where there is Darkness, there is Light.
These glam Chewbacca cosplayers made their costumes out of wig hair. They look ready to party.

These Twi'lek cosplayers made theirs costumes by hand. The woman on the left created a whole backstory for her original character.

We saw our fair share of Boba Fett mash-ups, including one impossibly cute "Tinker Fett."
"Avengers, assemble!" says Captain Boba Fett.
"Redneck Boba Fett," known among his friends as Bubba, wears a jetpack adorned with Solo cups and "Trader Jawa" and "Jabba Hut" stickers.
